Additional fund earmarked to procure fertilisers

An additional fund of Rs 2.5 crore will be allocated to the Agriculture Department under the appropriate head of account for procurement of fertiliser.
In a meeting held at Cabinet Hall of Chief Minister's secretariat in connection with the distribution of Urea and chaired by CM N Biren on Monday, it was decided to allocate additional fund and discussed the problem related to the distribution of fertiliser (Urea) to the farmers.
For this, the Agriculture Department will monitor the procurement and distribution of fertiliser.
In the meeting, various de -cisions Were taken regarding the distribution of fertiliser.
Farmers possessing valid Farmer Identity Card issued by the competent authority can procure fertiliser from District Agriculture Officers (DAOs)/dealers on production of the Card after payment of the requisite amount.
No other documents will be required in respect of such farmers.
Fertiliser can be procured by the farmers on production of their Pattas and Aadhaar Card from the DAOs/dealers after payment of the requisite amount.
For tenant farmers who are unable to produce Patta of the land, they may obtain a certificate from their respective MLAs indicating their Patta number and size of land.
Such certificate will be accepted in lieu of the Patta for tenant farmers.
The tenant farmers will also be required to submit a copy of their Aadhaar Card and an undertaking to the effect that they are the actual tenant farmers of the said land, when they come to procure fertiliser at the office of the DAOs/dealers.
A format of the undertaking will be made available at the office of the DAOs/dealers.
Certificates from SDOs/SDCS/ pradhans/up pradhans / ad -hyaksha / councillors /corporators/village authority chairman/village chief concerned, indicating Patta no (where applicable), land size and Aadhaar number of the tenant farmers will also be accepted in lieu of the Patta.
Such tenant farmers will also be required to submit a copy of their Aadhaar Card and aforementioned undertaking to the effect that they are the actual tenant farmers of the said land.
In order to avoid the congestion at the DAOs/Dealers, a certified list of farmers along with their Patta no., land holding size and Aadhaar number may be provided by the MLAs/ SDOs / SDCs / prad -han/uppradhans/ adhyaksha/' councillors/corporators/ village authority chairman/ village chief in advance.
On receipt of such a list, the DAOs/dealers will provide fertiliser to those individuals present in the list within three days, subject to the payment of the requisite amount by the farmer.
When they come to the office of the DAO/dealer to collect fertiliser, such individuals will submit a copy of their Aadhaar cards to the DAOs/dealers.
