Unity call marks MSF silver jubilee

Imphal, October 13 2023: Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) celebrated its 25th foundation day at its head office located at Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai on Friday.

The celebration was attended by MSF president in-charge Hijam Roshan, JNIMS director Prof Laishram Deben, education (S) director L Nandakumar and MSF advisor Ngariyanbam Milan as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Roshan stressed the need for joining hands to fight against those trying to disrupt integrity of Manipur.

Stating that peace will prevail and development naturally follow suit when people are patriotic, he urged all not to disturb the education sector and work for improving the economy.

A joint discussion forum with ah the communities is also needed in this regard, he added.

General secretary Rojit Tekcham highlighted the activities taken up by the students' body till now.

He recalled the launching of several campaigns for improving the education system, greener Manipur and against drug menace including 'Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi', 'Eikhoi Mayai Kaba Drug Thadoklashi', 'Sanghallasi Manipur' and 'Mission Mt Koubru Afforestation' among others.

To mark the event, a blood donation camp was also organised with 70 people donating their blood.
