700 riot-hit people have meal at Govindajee

Imphal, June 25 2023:
Minister Thongam Biswajit on Sunday arranged prayers and meals at the Govindajee Temple, Palace Compound for the 700 displaced people from Moreh and Churachandpur who stayjng in the relief camp run by ;Thongju Kendra Relief Committee at Ideal Girls' College.
Many of the people, including children, were visiting and taking meal at the Temple for the first time in their life, and as such, appreciated the minister's and the Temple's gesture.
One of the displaced identified as Keisham Francis of Khuga Tampak narrated his experiences and informed that three people, namely Laishram Naoba of Moreh Ward No.9, Takhelchangba Brojen of Kei nou and Matheo of Senapati Sumkumlung village are still stuck at the 46 AR relief camp in Churachandpur.
Quoting the trio as saying that they have no money to avail the helicopter services, Francis appealed to the state government to evacuate them to a safer place.
