Imphal, June 25 2023:
Ministers and MLAs, who are currently in Delhi to seek the centre's help in resolving the crisis in the state, should not return home before meeting the central leaders and bringing an amicable solution to the restive situation, said Pinky Laishram of Naha-rup Mayai Leikai Womens Welfare Association.
A sit-in demonstration was staged at Nahgrup Mayai Leikai Keithel Ma cha under the joint aegis of Naharup Mayai Leikai Women's Welfare Association, Naharup Youth Moral Development Association and Lamyanba Organiz ing Center, on Sunday demanding restoration of peace and normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the agitation, Pinky Laishram contended that the crisis in the state has been continuing as the MLAs remained silent in the initial stages and aren't able to bring the desired solution.
She further stated that the agitations launched in the state are not for some sections of the society but for the public including the ministers and the MLAs.
Therefore, the MLAs and ministers in Delhi should not return to Manipur till amicable solution could be worked out.
