Imphal, June 25 2023:
President of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur (PLMPAM) Longjam Memchoubi has categorically stated that Ministers and MLAs who are at New Delhi shouldn't return to Manipur unless they have the written assurance from the Union Home Minister that the unity and integrity of the State will not be compromised as an appeasement policy.
PLMPAM in association with the All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) staged a sit-in protest under the banner "No Separate Administration in Manipur '' at Khoyathong Keithel, today.
Placards with inscriptions reading "Flush out Kuki terrorists from Manipur'', "Stop divide and rule policy", "Stop playing communal card", "Indian Government shouldn't make us refugees in our own State" etc were displayed during the protest demonstration.

Speaking to media persons, Memchoubi continued that Amit Shah didn't say anything new on Manipur violence during the all political party meeting convened at New Delhi yesterday and it manifests the lack of seriousness on the part of the Central Government.
Saying that they will continue to raise their voice to safeguard Manipur as the Centre hasn't said or done anything to control Kuki militants, Memchoubi appealed to all Ministers and MLAs at Delhi to unite and meet the Prime Minister and the Home Minister and state their stand together instead of in groups.
"Why is the Prime Minister on an international tour when Manipur is literally burning since May 3.Is Manipur not a part of India," she asked.
Further stating that Kuki militants have been attacking Meetei civilians and burning houses as a part of their movement to establish a Kuki homeland, Memchoubi maintained that the response given by the Centre and the State Government to this aggression is frustrating.
The Government is only speaking about normalcy returning in newspapers and TV channels but there is no let up on gun attack and destruction of properties at foothills and periphery of valley districts, Memchoubi pointed out.
