HSLC 2023 : Anju beats all odds and secures 7th spot

Thiyam Anju, the 7th position holder of the recently declared HSLC examination 2023, has said that any student can score good marks in an examination if he or she is attentive in classes even without going for private tuitions.
Anju is a student of Nawa Sindam Sang and she secured the 7th position despite having an ailment and had to face certain problems in her studies due to financial constraint.
It is said that Anju falls unconscious quite often and it worries her parents.
Daughter of Thiyam Kesho and Thiyam ongbi Rakhipati of Thiyam Konjil Awang Leikai under Keirao Constituency, Anju scored 583 out of 600 marks in the HSLC examination 2023 .

Kesho is a driver while Rakhipati is a weaver.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Anju said that she studied hard to get a place in the top 5 but certain problems disrupted her studies.
Saying that she is planning to prepare for the civil service examination conducted by UPSC to contribute in Nation building, Anju said that she will give her level best to become an IAS officer.
Anju also said that she will live up to the expectation of her parents and make them proud one day.
She said that her uncle (Babayai) and aunty help her in her studies apart from her teachers and parents.
Maintaining that she didn't attend any private tuitions, Anju said that she was given all the valuable lessons at her school.
Her mother Rakhipati said that Anju grew up as an obedient student since childhood and she still is.
She said that she has been weaving clothes till late hours to afford the school and boarding fee of Anju and her elder brother.
On many occasions we couldn't even clear the tuition fee of Anju on time, Rakhipati added.
