Relay hunger strike enters Day 3

The relay hunger strike of Thawai Mirel Women's Wing demanding unification of CSOs and resolution to project the state by the state assembly has entered third day on Wednesday.
On the third day, 18 members of Naorem Leikai Naharol Yaiphakol Meira Paibi Lup continued the protest at the local Meira Shang from 9 am and will continue the protest till 9 am Thursday.
On the first day Monday, nine members of the women's wing participated in the relay hunger strike at Singjamei Keithel.
However, they shifted their location to Singjamei Thong Wangma waiting shed after police dispersed them.
The protestors stayed overnight at the protest site.
On Tuesday, the relay hunger strike was organised at Naorem Leikai Naharol Yaiphak-hol Meira Paibi Lup's office.
Interacting with the media on Tuesday, Wing convenor Paonam Sanahanbi called upon the CSOs to unite and take forward the movement under a single unit.
She also demanded the government to take a firm resolution to safeguard the territorial integrity and identity of Manipur, and take up appropriate actions against the Kuki militants, who have been trying to disintegrate the state, and also to enforce rule of law in the hills.
