Imphal, August 23 2023:
As long as the BJP is in power in the state, there is no likelihood of any solution to the crisis in Manipur, stated CPI national general secretary and former Tamil Nadu MP D Raja.
D Raja was speaking on the occasion of the 75th foundation day of CPI at Imphal Hotel, North AOC on Tuesday.
He stated that BJP is a party that advocates divide and rule policy in the state and is most corrupt and communal political party in India and therefore, we should make sure that the BJP is rooted out from the state and the country as the people will continue to suffer ceaselessly under its rule.
If we are to save the country and the Constitution we need to wipe out BJP.
As long as the BJP is in power, there is no likelihood of Manipur returning to normalcy, he reiterated.
While accusing the BJP of inciting the ethnic violence in Manipur, Raja further alleged that the BJP government has not been able to solve the crisis even though three months have passed since outbreak of the ethnic violence.
Till this day it is not even trying to solve the problem, he claimed.
Raja further stated that the opposition party tried to bring up the issue of Manipur on the floor of the Parliament.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi who spoke for only four minutes in the parliament even failed to answer questions of the opposition and only spoke on election related matter.
Raja also charged the state government under CM Biren of not discussing the state issue by calling an assembly session and deliberating on it.
Under such a condition, CM Biren has nd moral right to hold his chair and remain as chief minister, he maintained.
The function was also attended by Rajya Sabha MP Binoy Biswam, CPI national secretaries K Narayana and Ramkrishna Panda, national federation leader Asomi Gogoi, national control commission member Dr M Nara and CPI Manipur state council secretary L Thoiren.
