Junior Asian C'ship State Wushu players accorded warm reception

Imphal, August 23 2023:
The State players who featured in the 11th Asian Junior Wushu Championship held from August 14 to 21 in Macau, China were accorded a warm reception by the Wushu Association of Manipur and guardians of the athletes as they landed here at Imphal today.
It may be mentioned that 11 players and one official from the State were in the Indian team for the continental event.

Jetish, Chingkheihunba Salam, Toijam Priyangka, Jupiter Elangbam Nongmaithem Nikhil, Linthoingambi Laitonjam, Britain M, Achom Tapas, L Nelson Meitei, H Langlentombi Devi and Jona Princie Konsam were the athletes who represented India at the event while Sanglakpam Chaoba Devi was among the team officials (coach) .
At the championship, Linthoingambi Laitonjam won a bronze medal in the B-Group Taijiquan event as Nongmaithem Nikhil won another bronze medal in B-Group Jianshu event.
Khwairakpam Jetish also bagged a bronze medal in the 52 kg Sanda event.
