RIMS organises medical camp

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal in coordination with Rama Foundation organised a free medical camp for internally displaced people staying at Manipur Trade & Expo Centre, Lamboi Khongnangkhong relief camp on Saturday.
The medical camp was flagged off by RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar along with MS professor N Sanjib and CAO/FA S Sarat from RIMS OPD Block.
They also visited the medical camp.
The director shared information about preventative measures with the inmates to protect from dengue and advised parents to make their children wear long clothes.
No serious illnesses were detected during the camp, he said and assured of providing free treatment to the inmates them at RIMS if they need hospitalisation.
Non-Teaching Employees' Welfare Association (NTEWA) president Dr W Ranbir said that a series of free health camps will be organised at different places by RIMS authority for the displaced people.
MD of Rama foundation donated Rs 10,000 to the management committee of the relief camp.
Sweets were distributed to the children.
A team of specialist doctors from different departments of RIMS such as Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology, Clinical Psychology, Orthopaedic and Paediatrics provided health counselling and treatment to around 217 inmates during the camp, which was assisted by nursing officials, staff and officials of RIMS.
