Imphal airport equipped with Ambulift

Imphal, August 23 2023:
Airports Authority of India (AAI), Imphal International Airport informed that the airport has now been equipped with an Ambulift under the Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan) of government of India to facilitate flyers with reduced mobility.
As per a release, AAI has positioned an Ambulift at the airport to facilitate passengers with reduced mobility, 'Divyang' passengers on wheel chairs and passengers on stretchers.
The Ambulift can cater up to six wheelchairs and two stretchers with an attendant at a time and is fitted with heating ventilation and air-conditioning system for hassle free to and from movement into aircraft.
AAI is providing the Ambulift facility at a nominal charge of Rs 100 to the operating airlines at its airports, it added.
The release further mentioned that facility can be availed by contacting airport terminal manager on mobile number-9402880368 or airline's station manager concerned.
