AMWJU seeks contribution to Media Resource Centre

Informing that Governor Anusuiya Uikey has opened the Media Resource Centre at the Manipur Press Club building on the occasion of the club's 49th foundation day celebration on Sunday, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has appealed to all concerned to contribute towards ensuring purposeful functioning of the centre, a resource hub of media and information.
In a statement, AMWJU expressed confidence that the Centre will facilitate authentic information to journalists from the state as well as outside the state.
On the very launch day, European Manipuri Association (EMA) donated one computer set and a printer for the Centre, for which the union is thankful.
The Union also appealed to the people of the state to contribute documents, maps, books and court orders in different sectors including land revenue, forest, census, political, boundary, official, gazette notification among others.
It also urged government offices and institutions to contribute old records, maps, resolutions, orders and important and historical documents.
The Centre is also accepting photographs, videos and documents related with past and present crisis or issues, as they would help in media research by future generations.
