The State Assembly today passed five demands related to Home Departments.
The demands are Demand no.7 pertaining to Police (Rs 5,38,75,29,000), Demand no.2 pertaining to Vigilance (Rs 1,97,86,000), Demand no.31 pertaining to Finance Protection and Control (Rs 4,96,23,000), Demand no.32 pertaining to Jail (Rs 8,18,70,000) and Demand no.33 pertaining to Home Guards (Rs 8,04,08,000) .
When the Chief Minister, who is also the leader of the House tabled the demands for discussion, Opposition members O Joy, Dr Ng Bijoy, Dr I Ibohalbi and RK Anand moved cut motions contending that police are irresponsible and inefficient, Vigilance reports and recommendations have never been implemented, there is lack of effective and efficiency in the management, there has been no reforms on Jail inmates and the interest of the Home Guards are being
neglected.
