Imphal, June 21 2010:
An Act which would regulate establishment of private school will be coming up to check mushrooming up of private schools in the state, said state Education minister, L Jayentakumar today.
The minister was speaking at the annual award distribution of the Council of Higher Secondary Education in which students securing positions in the recently declared HSSLC exam, 2009-10 .

Minister, Jayentakumar said that in a move to check mushrooming up of private schools in the state, state government has completed drafting of a bill to regulate the establishments of private schools.
Once the bill is passed by the house of the state Assembly and enacted, setting up schools by any individuals could be checked apart from abolishing schools set up as income earning centre, he added.
All government schools will be served by trained teachers within the next five years as government is determined to train all teachers of government schools in teaching students.
