Maibam Ibomcha Meitei of Salungpham Mayai Leikai emerged as topper with total score of 364 in the MBBS/BDS entrance test conducted by the Health services Manipur yesterday, for which result was declared today.
Maibam Ibomcha son of an Amin in the SDC office Khongjom, Maibam Joykumar, in an interview with Hueiyen correspondent admitted that when he was in standard 9, he realised the profession of doctor, which save lives of patient as noble profession and from that time onwards he aspired to join in entrance test for MBBS.
He lamented incidents of patient parties in brawl with doctors due to misunderstanding, if he joins the profession he expressed his believe to serve patients to his best recognising precious value of life.
The topper Maibam Ibomcha Meitei received his schooling from standard 1 to 5 at Saint Mary School, Salungpham, class 6 to 8 at I R E, Wangjing and 9 to 10 at Assemble of God, New Checkon.
Second position holder Sonika while sharing her success said that she joined the entrance test with a full conviction to serve the community to her best possible level with dedication, she gave the credit of her success to her parents, family and teachers.
She also asserted the need to cultivated in one's life, perseverance, hard work and self confidence to attain success.
With total score of 356 and 352, Mayanglambam Sonika daughter of Ibochou, Kakching Paji Leikai and Sarangthem Sabili daughter of Birmani, Wangkhei ThambalKhong begs second and third positions in the entrance test.
The total full score in the test was 400 out of which 100 each were in physics and chemistry and 200 for biology.
The total candidates appeared in the MBBS/BDS entrance test 2010 were 3979 in 9 different centres at Imphal.
The final select list on category wise and waiting list candidates is likely to be released after the exact numbers of MBBS/BDS seats are confirmed.
