CRPF organises Civic Action Programme

69 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the aegis of IGP, Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF today organised a Civic Action Programme at Heingang Kontha Makha Leikai in Imphal East district.
The programme was attended by Bajrang Lal, Commandant 69 Bn CRPF, other officers of the battalion and secretary/members of Model Club, Heingang Kontha Makha Leikai and Social Integrity Club, Mongjam, said a release issued by 69 Bn CRPF.
During the programme, sports items like shoes for volleyball & football, volleyball net, football, football net, shot put equipment, javelin, carrom boards, etc were distributed to Model Club and Social Integrity Club.

Relief materials including rice, pulses, edible oil, sugar, tea leaves, biscuits, etc were also provided to displaced people from Sapermeina & Motbung area of Kangpokpi district who are taking shelter in relief camps.
Speaking on the occasion, Bajrang Lal stated that the Civic Action Programme was conducted to help the poor/ needy sportspersons and encourage them to develop their talents.
"CRPF is always with the society and serving not only as a peace keeper but also for welfare and harmony of the people in the areas", he added.
It may be mentioned that 69 Bn CRPF has been consistently organising Civil Action Programmes to provide necessary assistance to the people living in its area of deployment by distributing sport items; conducting vocational training camps/ medical camps; and constructing toilets/ bathrooms and waiting sheds, etc from time-to-time.
"It is our endeavour and constant effort to serve the poor and the needy people of Manipur as a whole", said CRPF.
