Chief Justice visits relief camps

Imphal, January 16 2024:
Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur, Siddharth Mridul visited four relief camps in Bishnupur and interacted with displaced people today.
He visited the relief camps after inspecting Bishnupur District Court Complex, said Manipur State Legal Services Authority in a statement.
The Chief Justice visited SAI Utlou Complex Relief Camp, Oinam High School Relief Camp, Leimaram High School Relief Camp and SP Girls' Hostel, Leimaram Relief Camp.
While interacting with the inmates, the Chief Justice urged the inmates to submit their needs and grievances to Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) under the District Legal Services Authorities in writing so that the same may be placed before appropriate authorities.
The team jointly contributed and donated winter specific relief items for the displaced people staying in the four relief camps.
The relief materials include charcoal, charcoal heater (Meifu), immersion rods, room heaters, water bags, blankets, mattresses, soaps, toothpaste, torch-lights, diapers etc.
Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul was accompanied by Justice A Bimol Singh, Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu, Advocate General Lenin Hijam, Registrar General of HCM Y Rother and other officials.
Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul will visit and inspect other relief camps in the coming days, said the Manipur State Legal Services Authority.
