Hotel runner Kim told this correspondent that she never thought Rahul 'Sir' would make a stopover at her hotel to have tea.
"I was excited to serve him," she said, while adding that "there are many good hotels in the town but I felt so blessed to have Rahul Gandhi in my hotel".
A younger sister of Kim said, "When Rahul's bus stopped in front of our hotel, he asked me from inside the bus whether we have tea or not and I just nodded in excitement.
To my surprise, he came to our hotel and had tea and snacks.
I was so happy and excited that Rahul Gandhi even called me to sit near him and started interacting with me, inquiring about our small hotel and wellbeing" .
"I told Rahul Gandhi that the hotel is run by female siblings in our family and it is our main livelihood, to which Rahul appreciated us for our hard work which meant a lot to us," she added.
Kim's mother said that she was very happy to meet Rahul Gandhi personally for the first time after seeing him only in news on television.
