Mortal remains of Lance Naik Sahni Lohrii who was killed in a gun-battle with Laskar-E-Toiba militants in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir were brought home today.
Though deeply hurt by the loss of his son, Lohrii's father A Sahni Mao who is a retired Subedar Major of 1st Naga Regiment put up a brave face and saluted his son by garlanding the lifeless body.
Mortal remains of Sahni Lohrii were brought in a decorated coffin wrapped by the tricolour in an Indian Airlines flight to Imphal at around 1 pm today.
Sahni Lohrii was killed in a gun battle with Laskar-E-Toiba militants in a jungle of Bukhal sector of Rajouri district in the course of an operation.
Though the security team lost Lohrii, they managed to eliminate four militants.

A Sahni Mao said "I'm deeply hurt by my son's death but at the same I'm proud on thinking how he sacrificed his life for the country".
Conceding that he is worried for the future of his daughter-in-law and four grand-children, Sahni Mao said that he would, nevertheless, encourage Lohrii's three younger brothers to join the army to defend the country.
Sahni Mao retired from service in 1996 .
Attached to 60th Bn Rastriya Rifles, Lance Naik Sahni Lohrii had been posted in Jammu and Kashmir since about one year and a half back.
He last returned home in January and left for his post in the first week of March.
He is survived by his wife and four children.
At Imphal airport, full military honour was offered to Sahni Lohrii by troops led by Brigadier AJ George of 73rd Mountain Brigade.
Brig George said that younger brothers of Lohrii would be invited to the recruitment rally scheduled for April 17 at Bishnupur.
If they join the rally, due considerations would be made to recruit them, he added.
The last rites of Lohrii would be performed at his native village of Bungdung, Senapati district tomorrow.
