Hanjabam Rajanikanta Sharma, a class XII (Science) student of Manipur Public School, Koirengei is among 33 students selected from across the country for the year's prestigious Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana fellowship in the stream SP Basic Science.
Selection procedures for the fellowship, which is for a period of seven years, include personal interview and submission of a project report to Indian Institute Science (IISc), Bangalore.

The interview was held at the IISc on February 7 and 8 after which the 33 students have been short-listed for conferring the fellowship under the sponsorship of Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India.
Rajanikanta is the eldest son of Dr H Manoranjan Sharma and Dr A Radhapyari of Wangkhei Khunou, Imphal.
