Even as Manipur has been experiencing an excess rainfall over its normal 20 millilitre in the last few days, the weather forecast of the Meteorology Department has warned of thunder storm at the speed of 50 km per hour in some parts of the State in the next 48 hours.
According to information received from the Indian Meteorology Department, Guwahati Regional office, normal rainfall expected in Manipur between March 27 and April 1 was 20.4 millilitre but 58.8 millilitre had been recorded.
So the excess of rainfall experienced is 38.4 millilitre.
The weather office has also forecast rainfall accompanied by storm in some parts of the State till April 4.In some areas, the velocity of the thunder storm could be 50 km per hour.
