Many continue to extend humanitarian aid

As the State continues to stay on the boil, humanitarian aid from all quarters still pours in to provide a healing touch to those who have been left homeless in the wake of this violence.
Yesterday, Relief Centre for Welfare of Differently Abled Person Manipur, Singjamei Chinga Mathak provided blankets and food items to the internally displaced people (IDP) taking shelter at the relief camp set up in Kwakta Santhong Makha Leikai, Bishnupur district.
A team led by Relief Centre for Welfare of Differently Abled Person Manipur programme manager Moirangthem Premier, media advisor Nimol Ningombam, women & child welfare officer Victoriya and Anita Sougrakpam visited the relief camp and provide the aid in view of the onset of winter season and upcoming New Year 2024 .

At the event, Nimol Ningombam said that the relief items provided to the IDP were donated by Brahmacharimayum Anyradha (59), w/o Kongbrailatpam Rajen of Nagamapal Soram Leirak and her family in memory of their late parents.
Moreover, the Art of Living Manipur has launched a "Spread the Warmth" campaign as part of its 'Anouba Yakairol' initiative to help the IDP staying in relief camps during this winter season.
The Art of Living Foundation under the supervision of humanitarian and spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has so far provided 1000 blankets, 1000 woolen shawls and 1000 sweaters for children at 20 relief camps opened in Khangabok, Chairel, Nungoo, Tangjeng Khunjao, Mangjin, Santhong, Sunusiphai, Phubala, Ningthoukhong, Moirang Khunou, Phougakchao Ikhai, Terakhongsangbi, Thangalawai, Kumbi, Moirang Okshongbung, Phayeng, Kangchup Chingkhong, Tairenpopkpi and Keibi.
The Art of Living Manipur in collaboration with Matai Society and Nouwa Education has also provided essential items & study materials for students staying in relief camps.
Meanwhile, Ayangpalli Progressive Women Organisation yesterday provided 10 blankets each to the Arambai Kshetrigao Unit, Arambai Wangkhei Unit, Arambai Khurai Unit and Arambai Yourubung Unit.
A team of the organisation led by its general secretary Sagolsem Ongbi Roji Devi visited the office of the Aramabi Units and provided the blankets to encourage the volunteers who have been making numerous sacrifices to protect the motherland.
