Book release ceremonies held at various places

A book titled 'Nungai Yaiphaba Lamdam Ama' written by Dhanashyam Wahengba was released today at Manipur Press Club.
The book release ceremony organised by Angom Ningthou Preservation & Documentation Center was attended by Art & Culture retired Commissioner Kangjam Radhakumar, playwright BK Wahengba and Manipur University of Culture Assistant Professor Makhonmani Mongshaba as presidium members.
Renowned writer & critic L Memo Singh gave a brief introduction about the book.
The gathering also observed two minutes of silence to pay respect to those who gave their lives in the present unrest.
Moreover, Patriotic Writers' Forum (PAWF), Manipur also organised the book release ceremony of 'Amam Angan Langdaida' authored by Wahengbam Nimaichand at Khurai Thangjam Leikai.

The ceremony was organised in connection with the '4th Thagi Luk Katpa Thouram' of the book's publisher Late Ningthoujam Ningol Wahengbam ongbi Gourirani Devi.
It was attended by PAWF president Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi convenor Prof Rajen Toijamba and Leikol (Leimarol Khorjeikol), Imphal president Kshetrimayum Subadani as presidium members.
At the event, famed lyricist Shanglakpam Achou Sharam enlightened the gathering about the book 'Amam Angan Langdaida' .
Similarly, the Cultural Forum Manipur on Monday organised a book release ceremony at the hall of Manipur Legislative Assembly Museum & Archives in Old Assembly Road, Imphal.
During the ceremony, two books namely 'Atoppa Mingsel' authored by Dr Naorem Vidyasagar Singh and 'Chongtham Manihar Singhgi Akhannaba Wareng Khara' compiled by Dr Saikhom Robindro Singh were released, said a release issued by Cultural Forum Manipur.
It was attended by Manipur University retired Professor Huidrom Bihari Singh, Cultural Forum Manipur president Prof Koijam Shantibala Devi and Manipuri Language Advisory Board convenor Prof Rajen Toijamba as presidium members.
Manipur University, Manipuri Department, Head, Prof Toijam Tampha and GP Women's College, Manipuri Department, retired Head & Associate Prof Konjengbam Hemchandra Singh gave a brief review about the books.
