19 patients selected for eye operation today in Tamenglong

Imphal, January 24, 2011:
Free eye camp kicks off here today at the District Hospital Tamenglong organized by State Blindness Control Society, Manipur and Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong in which 19 patients out of 150 patients were screening.
19 patient's cataract eyes would be done operation tomorrow at the district hospital.
An official source said that an eye care programme was taken under National Programme for Control of Blindness.
During this free eye camp the patient would be given free drugs, operation, post operation case, lens and free check adding that seven medical teams has reached this afternoon and screening has done today.
It may be worth mentioned here that though the authority did not widely publicity about the free eye camp but old patients from Awangkhul, Irang and Nungba are also taking part in the free eye camp and number of patient has been reduce this year.
