BJP, JD(U) to likely to support Sarat in bye-poll

Imphal, January 24, 2011:
NDA partners Bhartiya Janta Party and Janta Dal (United) are likely to support Trinamool Congress candidate Konthoujam Sarat in the ensuing Konthoujam Bye Election which has been scheduled to be held on Ferbuary 14. Janta Dal (United) had already discussed the matter in a party meeting held today.
The decision will be declared tomorrow after a joint meeting with BJP, said President BJP Manipur Unit Santikumar today.
It may be mentioned that MPP had already announced to support K Sarat in the Bye Election.
Meanwhile, BJP Sagolband Kendra Unit appointed In-charges of the 27 polling stations of the constituency in a meeting held on January 23.The party is planning to produce candidates in all seven segment of Imphal Municipal Council in the upcoming IMC election.
Santikumar said that the party will produce candidates in every assembly constituency even in CM's constituency in the upcoming general election.
The party will unite with other parties to defeat Congress in the upcoming election.
