Ramakrishna Mission provides weaving looms to relief camp

Imphal, September 11 2023:
Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, on Sunday presented 2 weaving looms (Pheesakol) to the relief camp set up at Laphupat Tera High School to enable the inmates form a collective Livelihood Support mechanism.
The simple ceremony of handing over & blessing the looms was performed by Swami Devapriyanandaji Maharaj, secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal, in the presence of P Dhanakumar Singh, president Managing Committee, Ramakrishna Mission, other monks and Ningthoujam Kumar Singh, nodal officer of the camp, said Ramakrishna Mission in a release.

The team also interacted with the inmates about their needs, especially of the children staying in the camp, and conveyed to them about the service ideals of Ramakrishna Mission being a Non-Political, Non-Sectarian, Spiritual Organisation which serves the needy, irrespective of caste, creed, race or religion, in a spirit of worship to "Living Gods" as per the dictum of Swami Vivekananda, "Service to Man is Service to God" .
Fruit juices & biscuits were distributed to all the inmates on the occasion and 20 Kg of Milk Powder was also provided as nutritional support for the children in the camp.
