People need to question Centre: Thawai Mirel

Imphal, January 04 2024: Thawai Mirel has stated that instead of only battling elements inimical to interest of Manipur and its people, the public need to question the central government, which unleashed the demons, and asked which state in India faced such conflict situation causing chaos for more than eight months.

In a release, Thawai Mirel convenor Th Dara Singh said that the state government should not put in public domain false report that the state is returning to peace and normalcy.

Instead, correct and ground reality information about the incidents occurring in periphery areas should be conveyed to the central government.

Such act will be the best gift of the New Year by the state government to the people, he added.

Moreover, the convenor stated that they want no other gift from central government for New Year other than ending the present conflict raging for over eight months.
