Maunpi's fifty helps KSC win

Imphal, February 10 2015:
Tight spells from its bowlers helped KSC defeat Model Club (B) by 48 runs in the Twenty 20 Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Cricket Ground on Tuesday.
After winning the toss, KSC opted to bat first and put up a score of 130 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, playing out the allotted 20 overs.
Maunpi top scored with 57 runs from 58 balls, followed by Gouminlun with 30 from 28 balls.
Sanjit did the most damage for Model Club (B) picking up two wickets while Iboyaima, Akbar, Gulshan and Sekhar took one wicket each.
Model Club (B) batsmen labored hard against some economical bowling by KSC and were restricted to a meagre score of 82 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets.
Lalboi and Lenpu scalped two wickets each while Thongminlun, Khaikhotinlal and Thongkhotinlen shared the remaining three wickets.
Maunpi's knock of 57 runs earned him the man of the match award.
Tomorrow, IWVCC will play NAPSA.
