Imphal, February 10 2015:
While claiming its hand in the killing of an NSCN-IM cadre and injuring some others at Nambasi on February 6, the proscribed RPF/PLA has clarified that it had nothing to do with the bomb blast which killed Adison Jajo (36) and grievously injured Hitler Keishing (34) on February 5 .
RPF does not see NSCN-IM as an adversary.
Nonetheless, there is no change to the outfit's decision to fight NSCN-IM's anti-revolutionary activities and their challenges to the integrity of Manipur politically and militarily, said a press release issued by the outfit's Publicity Secretary Roben Khuman.
Yet, in case NSCN-IM would like to hold a dialogue on RPF's position, they are always welcomed as sons of the soil who have been suffering equally under the alien rule.
RPF also condoled the death of one NSCN-IM cadre at the hands of PLA combatants.
PLA cadres were lying in ambush to attack Assam Rifles troops at Nambasi but AR troops stayed back at Nambasi school compound while some NSCN-IM cadres moved into the spot where the PLA cadres were lying in ambush resulting in a gun fight.
After the gun fight, PLA cadres recovered a gun abandoned by the NSCN-IM cadres.
About one hour later,; there was exchange of fire between PLA combatants and AR troops using bombs and mortars.
On the next day, NSCN-IM cadres and family members of the slain NSCN-IM cadre who came to take back the corpse went past the area where PLA cadres were putting up.
The PLA cadres did not do any harm to them but let them proceed with respect and honour, it conveyed.
Apart from using civilians as human shield, Indian military forces have been engaging in all kinds of covert operations using mercenaries.
After their works are done, these mercenaries are either killed on fabricated charges or made to disappear involuntarily, the outfit alleged.
While conveniently terming the revolutionary cadres as misguided people, Indian military forces have been employing sons of the soil in many covert operations with an ulterior motive to create divisions and distrust among the indigenous people.
Although Indian military forces have been calling themselves as friends of Manipuri people, people of the land have been opposing them.
Recently, at Tengnoupal a large number of people shouted slogans line "24 AR is not the friends of the hill people", "Down with Assam Rifles", "Go back Assam Rifles" etc.
Even though the Government of India has been calling Manipuri people as citizens of the country, their actions reveal that Manipuri people are seen as enemies.
The outfit also appealed to all the people of Manipur not to let themselves employed by Indian military forces as their mercenaries or stooges.
People should openly denounce all the sinister ploys of Indian military forces.
