Ranji Trophy: Manipur trail Sikkim by 224 runs

Manipur trailed Sikkim by 224 runs after the state team ended the first day of their first innings collecting 238 runs in their Plate Group Ranji Trophy match at Salt Lake, Kolkata, on Friday.
Resuming their first innings, Sikkim added 125 runs before being bowled out as they batted out 113.3 overs during the course of their first innings that saw them make a total of 462 runs.
Liyan Khan top-scored for Sikkim with 179 runs and Ankur was unbeaten on 126 runs in the first innings.
Manipur picked the remaining three wickets of Skikim courtesy of Bishworjit, who claimed 2 more wickets on top of his 2 scalps on Thursday, and Kishan, who took one.
The state team started their innings with 238 runs for 7 in 64 overs on Friday.
RK Rex (62/77), Nitesh (62/100), Priyojit K (40/69 not out), Al Bashid (24/55), Johnson (11/32) and Bimol Kh (6/7 not out) were the run-getters.
Four of Manipur's batters fell to Tarun Sharma, 2 to Ankur and 1 to Sumit.
