State logs 1.5 pc TPR for second day

Imphal, March 04 2022:
For the second consecutive day, the State logged daily positivity rate of 1.5 per cent as 18 persons were confirmed positive out of 1,201 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.
The fresh positive cases belong to Imphal East (5), Imphal West (6), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (2), Senapati (1) and Ukhrul (1) .
The death toll remains unchanged at 2113 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
In the meantime, 35 persons have been discharged from home isolation (23), JNIMS (6) and CCCs (6) in the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State now stands at 1,36,872 (general population 1,31,859 and Central security personnel 5,013) .
It includes 276 active cases (general population 266 and Central security personnel 10) and 1,34,483 recovered cases (general population 1,29,487 and Central security personnel 4,996).The recovery rate is 98.25 per cent.
A total of 273 D-type oxygen cylinders and 155 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
At present, 279 Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS and another 114 at RIMS.
So far, 27,20,879 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the State.
It includes 15,14,939 first dose, 11,45,401 second dose and 60,539 precautionary dose.
Till Thursday, 48.93 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.11 per cent has been given the first dose.
