AMFA suspends, slaps fine on numerous team officials, players for unruly conducts

The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has taken up disciplinary actions against team officials and players in the wake a slew of unruly incidents reported during the matches of the ongoing 2nd AMFA Cup and 15th Manipur State League.
Acting on a report of match commissioner of the match between CFA and WAFA in the ongoing 2nd AMFA Cup, a disciplinary committee of AMFA has decided to suspend P Renedy Singh, head coach of CFA for two consecutive matches of CFA in the tournament and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 which is payable before the next match of CFA.
In the report, P Renedy kicked water bottles and used abusive language in the technical area, read a memorandum issued by AMFA.
Meanwhile, taking serious note of a social media post containing unparliamentary language against AMFA uploaded by Robertson Elangbam, an official of NACO who are taking part in the 15th Manipur State League, the executive council of AMFA has imposed a two-match suspension on Robertson.
Robertson was also slapped with a fine of Rs 10,000 payable before the next match of NACO.
In a separate memorandum, AMFA executive council has also imposed suspension and slapped fines on players, officials, team doctors of KLASA FC and RAU in connection with alleged attempt to assault match referee after the match of the two sides in the ongoing 15th Manipur State League on September 18, unlawful celebration during and others.
An emergent meeting of the executive council was held on September 20 during which the committee examined the report of the match commissioner, the memorandum read.
The match commissioner had reported KLASA FC officials protested a referee decision which resulted in delay of the match.
The team doctor of KLASA, Ch Ranjit not only threatened the referee and used offensive words with their supporters after the match.
Further, Ch Ranjit and three other players- Salam Sanaton, Sudhir Laitonjam and Sapam Kenedy forcefully tried to enter the dressing room of match officials, the memorandum continued.
On the other hand, Ph Kishan, coach of RAU and Wangkheimayum Olenjit of RAU had celebrated unlawfully, it added.
For the derogatory, offensive, nasty and malevolent actions, the executive council of AMFA suspended Ch Ranjit for four matches of KLASA FC and imposed two match suspension on Salam Santosh, Sudhir Laitonjam and Sapam Kenedy.
Besides, the council also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on KLASA FC which is payable before the next match of KLASA.
The executive council also suspended Ph Kishan, coach of RAU and player Wangkheimayum Olenjit for next two consecutive matches and slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on RAU payable before the next match.
