Fujifilm strives to raise awareness on importance of early diagnosis for breast cancer

Fujifilm India Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in diagnostic imaging and information systems for healthcare facilities has organised an awareness programme on early detection of breast cancer and its preventive measures at Classic Grande, Chingmeirong today.
During the programme, key problems and potential solutions in digital mammography breast imaging were addressed and the clinical relevance of the technology was highlighted.
Fujifilm has installed its cutting-edge Amulet Innovality, a highly advanced breast cancer diagnostic tool at Babina Healthcare and Hospitality Industries Pvt Ltd and Shija Hospital Research Institute which enables women to diagnose breast cancer at an early stage.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Thangjam Dhabali, Managing Director, Babina Healthcare and Hospitality Industries Pvt Ltd stated that the digital mammography machine of Fujifilm helps in early detection of breast cancer by providing better resolution.
He also maintained that if such machines are installed in all the State run hospitals, it will enable in detecting breast and to take up appropriate preventive measures among the masses.
He appealed to the Government to consider keeping cancer detecting digital machines in Government hospitals and provide screening tests at affordable rates in the interest of the public.

Breast Imaging and Intervention, Consultant Dr Shilpa Lad and members of Fujifilm India also attended the awareness programme.
The initiative has been taken up in view of the high cases of breast cancer in the country owing to lack of awareness amongst patients.
