Hill Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit held across state

The 3rd Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit was organised at district headquarters by the district administrations concerned along with various departments on Friday.
The outreach programme aims is to bring about transparency and efficiency in the implementation of various welfare schemes.
To ensure wider coverage and its commitment towards rendering yeoman service to the people, Pherzawl district administration organised the 3rd District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit at Parbung community hall, about 30.4 km away from the headquarters.
Pherzawl SP A Ghaneshyam Sharma, ADC Ch Sachi, additional SP Lunzamung Tungnung, Tipaimukh & Vangai SDO/BDO I Dinesh Kumar Singh and DLOs led by the DC interacted with the people to hear their grievances and address the same.
DC Haulianlal Guite said the 3rd Meeyamgi Numit was organised to focus on enrolment of schemes related to old age pension, CMHT cards and Aadhaar cards.
He assured the public that the DC, SP & SDO will work and function from the district headquarters for a whole week once in a month.
The DC also distributed NFSA Ration Cards to 17 beneficiaries and free Text Books and School Uniforms along with sprayers & insecticides at subsidised rates.
Altogether three applications pertaining to various issues and other developmental works were received also received.
Public welfare services including enrolment of Aadhaar, Health & Ration cards by SDO/OSC/CDPO, distribution of saplings & career guidance by Forest department, inauguration of School Nutrition Garden at Parbung Hr Sec School under ZEO, War on Drugs 2.0 campaign by Police Department, awareness campaign to students on domestic violence by OSC, Financial Literacy & Social Security Schemes campaign by LDM/DSC, vaccination of livestock by Veterinary Department and water-testing together with organising village-wide social cleanliness drive by PHED were some of the highlight of the event.
A total of 17 stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public.
NONEY: The 3rd Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit organised by the district administration was held on Friday at Khangsillung Higher Secondary School, Khoupum with Hill Areas Committee chairman Dipu Gangmei as chief guest.
Altogether, 18 departmental stalls were set up and scheme facilities made available to the people.
Ration Cards, Old Age Pension Cards, Wheel Chairs, Books & Uniforms for students were also distributed to the chief guest.
An interaction programme of Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission (SDDMM) was also held as part of the programme, which was attended by DC Joseph Pauline Kamson, SP M Sandip Gopaldas, SDOs, district level officers, department officials, village authority and CSO leaders among others.
KAKCHING: District administration organised the third "Meeyamgi Numit" (People s Day) at the DC's Office Complex.
Altogether, 30 departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day.
Some of the services provided during the event included vaccination and health check-up counters set up by the Health Department.
Under Handlooms and Textiles, five Yarn passbooks were also issued.
Thoubal/Kakching district Agriculture officer distributed Micro Fert-L (micro-nutrient fertilizer) to 40 farmers free of cost whereas Waikhong SDO issued four birth order forms and received the same as Forest department distributed 128 Yongchak, 37 Teak and 15 Neem saplings free of cost to 40 persons.
Under CAF & PD, 20 ration cards were issued and six were added while two have been deleted.
Kakching SDO also issued nine birth certificates, one death certificate and five Income certificates.
As many as 26 applications were submitted to District Social Welfare, Kakching.
KAMJONG: The District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyam gi Numit for Kamjong district was held on Friday at Phungyar sub-divisional headquarters.
As a part of the event, the 4th anniversary of Ayush-man Bharat Pradhan Mantra Jan Arogya (AM-PMJAY) was also held with DC Rangnamei Rang Peter as the chief guest.
SP P Manjit and CMO Dr Lucy Duidang were the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
SDO Phungyar Rang David Kung, all the district level officers of various government departments in the district, local prabhari officers, village chiefs and CSO leaders also attended the event.
The district level offices (DLOs) opened their mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public.
Among the most active stalls were the CMO, ICDS, MSPDCL, District Veterinary Office, District Forest Office, CAF & PD, SDO office, etc.
Briefly interacting with the public, DC Rangnamei appealed to them to take maximum advantage of such programme, which is an initiative of the present government to deliver doorstep delivery of benefits and services of different schemes.
Later, the dignitaries also distributed AB-PMJAY cards to beneficiaries and certificates for RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning), LPG sets and other items to beneficiaries of CAF & PD under 'One Nation One Ration' and PM UJJWALA schemes, CMHT and PMJAY cards.
TENGNOUPAL: The 3rd "District Hill Leaders Day" and "Meeyamgi Numit" for Tengnoupal district was held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner on Friday.
Ranjan Yumnam, who recently took charge as DC of the district had an interaction with the DLOs and leaders of the villages.
He informed the departments concerned to assist the people in obtaining any beneficial schemes without any hassle and also to create awareness about the schemes in far flung areas.
A total of 20 departments opened stalls to assist the people.
Meanwhile, Social Welfare Department issued 11 Manipur Old Age Pension scheme and two CM Widow Scheme cards and distributed five smartphones, six hearing aids, one Elbow Crutch and Auzealary Crutch each, one caregiver allowance, one Free Travel Allowance to people with disabilities.
Forest Department distributed 649 tree saplings, ICDS issued five PMMVY forms, Agriculture Department three Farmers Registration cards, MSPCDL sold 300 LED bulbs at subsidised rate and Medical Department screened six NCDs and administered precautionary doses on three people.
The event saw a participation of 35 villages/localities comprising around 112 people.
The district administration received a single application of grievance.
The district administration also celebrated 4th Ayushman Bharat Diwas and as a part of the celebration, painting and slogan competitions were organised in junior and senior categories in collaboration with ZEO.
The winners of the competitions were awarded citations and prize money at the event.
KANGPOKPI: The 3rd District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit was organised at Gamnom Saparmeina community hall in Saitu Gamphazol.
Kangpokpi district from 9 am to 5.30 pm on Friday.
Speaking to DIO Kangpokpi, Dinthaojang, a resident from Charoipandongba, Saparmeina thanked the state government and district administration for organising the event near his locality.
Mentioning that he had come to apply for income certificate for his mother and uncle, he stated the staff of the SDO Saitu Gamphazol immediately attended to his need and issued both the certificates on the spot.
Meanwhile, Vahnei Kipgen, Lhingneilam Kipgen, Tingmeilhing Kipgen and Vahneineng Kipgen, residents of Saparmeina, Bongjol village and Tuipajang village also expressed their happiness over the helpful nature of the officers and staff of Agriculture Department.
All of them informed that they received sprayers for which they had earlier applied to the district agriculture officer.
During the programme, DC Kengoo Zuringla addressed the issues of the general public and guided them to the department concerned.
She also instructed the public to inquire without any hesitation to the officers of the various departments.
Officers and staff of the 46 government departments and others attended the event held at DC's Office Kangpokpi.
