KSC lift Sadar Hills Super Division Football League trophy

The Kuki Football Club (KSC) officially lifted the champions' trophy of the 8th K Hangshing Memorial Sadar Hills Super Division Football League during the closing ceremony held at Brig M Thomas Ground Kangpokpi District Headquarters on Tuesday.
The closing event of the league was organised by Sadar Hills District Sports Association and sponsored by late K Hangshing's families was attended by Haokholal Hangshing, caretaker chairman ADC Sadar Hills as chief guest while James Doujapao Haokip, chief executive officer, SHADC Kangpokpi and Lunseh Kipgen, chairman KTC attended as guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Family members of late K Hangshing led by Kimneo Hangshing also attended the closing ceremony apart from Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization, Kangpokpi Youth Union, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship, and other civil society organisations.
Chief guest Haokholal Hangshing and other dignitaries inspected the players of the closing friendly match between KSC and FC Zalen before it was kicked off.
FC Zalen found an early lead in the 10th minute after Seigoumangs brilliant strike and the first half of the friendly match ended 1-0 in favour of FC Zalen.
However, KSC had a better comeback in the second half to find the equaliser after Robinson brilliantly converted a penalty kick in the 50th minute before Messi lookalike Sehgouhao alias Kagawa found the winning goal of KSC after he had volleyed home a rebound in the 60th minute.
KSC's Robinson and Saikotjang Youth Clubs Letkhohao with three goals each were awarded the top scorer award while KSC's Sehgouhao alias Kagawa was awarded the man of the closing friendly match and the best discipline team award went to Kangpokpi Youth Union.
The champions of the league, Kuki Sporting Club were awarded a cash prize of Rs 40,000 with a trophy and the prize was handed over by Kimneo Hangshing, a family member of late K Hangshing while the runners-up FC Zalen received Rs 20,000 and a trophy.
Kangpokpi Youth Union have been relegated from the Super Division Football League.
