Chief Minister inaugurates BoB Somdal branch

Imphal, November 29 2021:
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has inaugurated Bank of Baroda Branch, Somdal, Ukhrul branch via video conferencing at Chief Minister's Secretariat today.
After the inauguration, N Biren stated that making financial products and services accessible and affordable to all individuals and businesses is a National priority.
N Biren Singh also mentioned that the State Government is committed to providing financial indecisiveness, especially to support the marginalized and socio-economically neglected classes.
The Government has implemented various welfare schemes to support and help the needy people and entrepreneurs of the State, he added.

Highlighting that Manipur is marching ahead in all aspects of life, the Chief Minister said that India Today has ranked Manipur as the most improved State in agriculture and best governance award among the small States of the country recently.
The Government is also giving special attention to bring development in hill districts, he said.
Informing that the 50 bedded district hospital, Ukhrul has been upgraded to 100 bedded Hospital, the Chief Minister maintained that the same will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in December, 2021 .
On Covid, N Biren Singh appealed to the people to take maximum precautions to protect themselves from the new COVID-19 variant.
Ukhrul DC Krishna Kumar unveiled the inauguration plaque and cut the ribbon at Somdal on behalf of the Chief Minister.
Deputy General Manager of Bank of Baroda, North East region, Sonam Bhutia, Ukhrul SP Saujanya Singh and other high ranking officials were also present at the occasion.
