Medical Assessment camp conducted

Kakching, November 29 2021:
Social Welfare Department Disability Cell and District Social Welfare Office, Kakching along with Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Guwahati organised a day-long medical assessment camp for Persons with disabilities and senior citizens at JnNURAM hall located at Kakching Sumak Leikai on Monday.
The medical camp was directly supervised by Social Welfare deputy director (Disability) Dhaneshwar and District Social Welfare Officer, Kakching Arambam Kameshwar.
The camp was organised to provide aids and assistive devices under Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) for Senior Citizens schemes.
Similar camps will be organised at Wabagai Awang Leikai community hall for Wabagai A/C on Tuesday, Langmeidong Dramatic Union hall for Hiyanglam A/C on December 1 and Kakching Khunou community hall for Sugnu A/C on December 2.District Social Welfare Office, Kakching has urged differently abled people to bring their disability certificates and older people above 60 years, who have hearing and visibility problem, to bring Aadhaar card photo copy and a passport photo and avail benefit of the schemes.
