UPSA crowned champions of Baby Suchitra Memorial Jr Girls Football League Tourney

Imphal, February 06 2022: UPSA, Pukhao demolished ESU, Wangkhei by 10-0 goals in a one sided last league encounter to pip YWC, Thambalkhong and win the title of the Baby Suchitra Khuraijam Memorial Junior Girls Football League 2021-22 organised by the Imphal East District Football Association at YWC ground, Thambalkhong.

YWC, could have emerged champions had the UPSA vs ESU match ended in a draw or UPSA sealed a slender win, but the 10-0 rout of ESU lifted UPSA to the pole position in the league table with a better number of goals.

Henarita stole the limelight in today's crucial match for UPSA, slotting home 7 goals alone.

Henarita opened the floodgate as early as the 3rd minute before adding four more on the trot in the 8th, 13th, 15th and the 25th minute and made it 5-0 .

The goalfest continued and UPSA posted a 8-0 lead till the break with Lhingboikim scoring in the 26th minute, H Dhanapiyari in the 29th minute and Henarita netting her 6th goal in the 31st minute.

Lhingboikim then completed her brace in the 40th minute before N Henarita scored the decisive goal in the 58th minute to make it 10-0 .
