Imphal, January 25 2022:
PTCC, Patsoi Part III eased to second successive Group C win in the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2021-22 at ABA ground today.
The day also saw AKDSO bounce back from previous game defeat in the hands of unbeaten RCA in Group D competition to overcome NCA by 12 runs at Heinoupok playground.
At ABA ground, SHADOW Thangmeiband won the toss and opted to bat first.
They however had a forgettable outing as PTCC spinners spun web around their batting line up to bowl them out for a paltry 54 runs in 18.1 overs.
None of the SHADOW batters crossed the double digit run and Sagatpam Lanchenba with 7 runs was the highest run getter in this innings.
PTCC's Karnajit Mayangalambam scalped five including Sohail Sultan Syed (3) and Krish Sahu (3) in the first and third delivery of the fifteenth over in SHADOW's innings to reduce the latter to 45-7.

PTCC too got off to a choppy start in the chase but managed to gather a winning total of 56 runs of 6 within 13.1 overs as the target was too small and Chingakham Nikhil Meitei struck three fours en route to his unbeaten 15 .
SHADOW's Sagatpam Lanchenba (2/12) and Sarungbam Nishant (2/9) bagged two wickets each in this innings to exert some pressure on PTCC batters while Reolin Oinam (1/16) and Washington (1/16) finished with a wicket each.
Elsewhere at Heinoupok ground, AKSDO defended their total of 79 runs for 10 to beat NCA, Ningthoukhong by 12 runs in a match which was truncated to 20 overs an innings.
Having won the toss and electing to bat first, AKDSO suffered a huge jolt losing openers on ducks, Bishorjit (golden duck) and Chingsomba Mocha (run out on 0) and eventually bundled out for 79 in 18.5 overs as only Moirangthem Albert (30/43) and Sanayai Ningthoujam (16/19) stood up to add significant scores.
Oinam Luhikumar Singh of NCA enjoyed a special outing as he snatched 3 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs while medium pacers, Pukhrambam Bonanza and Laishram Abinash clinched two wickets each.
NCA's batting department however produced a dismal performance and thus wrapped up the chase for 69 runs for 9 in 20 overs.
Saikhom Kaiku Singh of AKSDO returned wrecker-in-chief as he dismissed a chunk of four middle order batters including two in the 13th over to finish with bowling figures of 4-1-6-4 (four wickets for 6 runs in 4 overs which contained a maiden) .
Pacer Sanayaima Ningthoujam was first to remove N Sidarth on lbw for a duck earlier in this innings before Chingsomba sent Sohan Angom (6) and K Vedananda (0) packing to finish with an impressive bowling figure of 2/17 .
