Under its Heart to Heart Project, Rotary Club of Imphal has sent four children with congenital heart defects for open heart surgery at Mission Hospital, Durgapur, West Bengal on March 3. According to a press release issued by the Rotary Club of Imphal, Amom Minolika (10) d/o A Joy of Wangoo Ahallup Mayai Leikai, Pukhrambam Anju (13) d/o P Kiswar Kumar of Sangaiprou Maning Leikai, Soibam Roshni (5) d/o S Hemanta of Wangoo Tera Mayai Leikai and T Nancy (7) d/o T Lilen of Khurai left for Durgapur comprised the fourth batch of beneficiaries of the Heart to Heart Project.
Cost of operation of the four children will be borne by Rotarian Binod Keisham of KBS (Langjing), Rotarian Keval Gulati of Delhi Motors and MLA M Okendro.
Under the same project launched last September, nine children have already undergone successful corrective heart surgery in three batches at Mission Hospital, Durgapur.
The project is being implemented with active collaboration of Rotary Club of Asansol (West Bengal) and Mission Hospital, Durgapur, added the release.
