The proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), like in the past few years has announced certain measures for strict compliance during the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate and High School Leaving Certificate examinations respectively commencing from March 8 and 10. In a statement issued by its Publicity and Research deputy secretary apabi Mangang the armed group said the measures are being taken up with a view to weed out rampant use of unfair means from the education as well as examination system of the State.
As usual from the first day till the end of the examinations curfew would be imposed during the examination hours under which assembly of more than three persons (non candidates) would be totally prohibited during exam hours and the stricture will be enforced by the KYKL cadres, cautioned the statement.
At the time of imposition of curfew within a radius of 500 metre from the examination centre individuals found indulging in preparation of notes/tips and passing such items to the candidates would be dealt with severely, it maintained.
moreover, authorities of both the CHSM and BSEM have been urged to ensure that officials assigned exam duties and the invigilators act without any leniency or favouritism against those candidates found violating exam code of conduct.
Similar instructions have also been issued to officers in-charge of the respective examination centres while both the candidates and their parent are exhorted to refrain from even attempting to use unfair means as the consequences would be an unpleasant experience for the candidates are liable to be barred from appearing in CHSEM and BSEM conducted examinations for five years.
