Lizards rescued

PFA Thoubal volunteers together with Wildlife Department officials released a Bengal monitor lizard at Langol reserved forest area on July 29 .
The lizard was handed over to PFA Thoubal after it was rescued by one Leitanthem Ingobi of Lamshang Lairenkabi from his field, said a press release.
Later in the afternoon, PFA Thoubal was informed that another Bengal monitor lizard was rescued by one Takhelambam Raghumani of Thiyam Konjin.
The lizard got injuries probably made by long pointed objects, added the press release.
The injured lizard was handed over to Chanam Santrok Gram Panchayat Member Chanam Ranjana who in turn handed it over to PFA Thoubal.
The lizard is being given treatment in PFA Shelter, added the press release.
