Awareness programme for bank customers held

A public meeting on redressal mechanism pertaining to customer service in banks was held at GM Hall today.
The meeting was jointly organised by the office of Banking Ombudsman, RBI, Guwahati and Axis Bank.
The dignitaries attending the programme included AK Kureet, DGM, RBI; Adhip R Syamroy, Head Customer Service, Axis Bank; H Dileep Singh, Director, Education (S), Govt of Manipur; Anand Prakash, Banking Ombudsman; PK Krishnan, SVP, BCSBT; Naushad Alam, Circle Head, Axis Bank and C Sanker, Vice-President, RBO, Axis Bank.
Speaking at the occasion, Anand Prakash said it is the rights of the banks' customers to lodge complain about their banking related grievances.
In case the customers have any problem sorting out banking-related grievances after taking them up with the bank concerned then the banking ombudsman may be approached for redressal.
Many bank officials and customers attended the programme.
