Imphal, July 29 2021:
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has claimed that they have solid evidence of wrongdoings in the recruitment of ECG technicians in RIMS.
Speaking to media persons at its office here on Thursday, AMSU vice-president Laishram Athouba described as unfortunate selection of candidates with fake certificates in the recruitment of ECG technicians for six months on daily wage basis in RIMS.
Calling the recruitment as testament of rampant corruption in the recruitment process, he also claimed that after thorough investigation, the union has found evidence of corruption even as some of the candidates who possessed fake certificates have joined the service.
Pointing out that health sector cannot be compromised, Athouba contended that nepotism and corruption in recruitment in health sector, which is meant to save lives of the people, will create dangerous situation in treatment of patients.
It is unfortunate to recruit candidates with fake certificates by not verifying them during the recruitment process in RIMS which is conducted under the supervision of higher authority.
As such, the recruitment process of ECG technicians in RIMS should be cancelled and conducted afresh, he demanded, while denouncing that RIMS authority will stymie the effort of enhancing the status of RIMS to the level of AIIMS.
In view of the wrong doings in the recent recruitment of technicians, Athouba wondered whether RIMS conducted all its previous recruitment processes honestly.
People need to stand up against such wrong doings in recruitment processes and help in finding out the truth.
AMSU will stand for the truth and for the people, he affirmed.
