Imphal, July 29 2021:
The All Manipur Students' Union has accused Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) of indulging in corrupt activities in hiring ECG Technicians on contractual basis for 6 months.
A press release signed by Laishram Achouba, vice president AMSU, said that they have evidence of the premium healthcare institute selecting applicants for the post with forged certificates.
It also said that some of them even started working at the hospital.
Saying that such a conduct is truly unbecoming of the premium hospital, he urged the RIMS to start the recruitment process for the post afresh.
Asking if the RIMS authority is deliberately trying to hinder upgradation of the hospital to the standard of AIIMS, he said time is ripe for the people to stand against nepotism and corruption.
