"Fit India Freedom Run 2.0" held at various places

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Krishna Kumar, IAS flagged off 'Fit India Freedom Run' marathon at INA Memorial Complex, Moirang today.
A Limited number of runners participated in the marathon following COVID appropriate behaviours.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Kumar said that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is celebrated all across the country and Bishnupur too joins the celebration through the 'Fit India Freedom Run' marathon.
Expressing that physical and mental fitness is a requisite for any achievement in life, the 'Fit India Freedom Run' was started in the wake of covid-19 with the concept that one can run 'anywhere, anytime', he stated.
Emphasizing on the role and potential of youths in nation building process, Krishna Kumar encouraged youths to be flag bearers in continuing the legacy started by our forefathers.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that many welfare and support programs implemented by the government will have a wider reach and outcome with the pro-active involvement of youth.
Reiterating on the prevalence of Covid pandemic and the need to continue Covid appropriate behaviour, Krishna Kumar appealed to the youth as well as the public to come forward for Covid vaccination for the benefit of the family and society.
He concluded by urging the youth to take a proactive role for the growth of the society, State and country.
The 'Fit India Freedom Run' marathon being held today was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Bishnupur under the aegis of District Administration, Bishnupur and Department of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur.
CRPF
Similarly, as per direction of Government of India, 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat launched 'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' to commemorate Azadi Ka Admit Mahotsav on August 13 at Unit HQ 86 Bn CRPF.
All officers, SOs and jawans along with families residing at Unit HQ attended the programme, said a statement of Commandant, 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat.
The event started from Unit HQ Lamphelpat and covered 3 Km .
Assam Rifles
Likewise, Assam Rifles Battalions of IGAR(South) also organised 'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' at various locations in Manipur on August 13 to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The event was organised with an aim to promote the Fit India Movement and motivate troops to stay physically fit, said a release from IGAR(S).
The programme aims to encourage people to include at least 30 minutes of physical activity in their daily lives.
