Assam Rifles organises bike rally

Kangpokpi, August 13 2021:
On the occasion of Patriots Day today, the Jwalamukhi Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles IGAR-E organized a bike rally as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav traversing through multiples villages of Senapati, Kangpokpi, and Imphal West districts which also heralded upcoming India's 75th Independence Day celebration.
The bike rally was flagged off from Lairouching in Senapati District by Brig PS Arora, Commander 22 Sector Assam Rifles.
The rally then made its way through multiples villages of Kangpokpi, Thonglang Akutpa, Saparmeina, Saikul, Khurkhul, Kangchup, and Motbung in Kangpokpi Districts and also reached some places of Imphal West District as well.
The bike rally covered a total distance of 272 kms which was also participated by the Assam Rifles women personnel.
At Kangpokpi 38 Assam Rifles Post, the local populace and local civil bodies leaders including ex-servicemen and children had a brief interaction with the Assam Rifles officials while AR's women personnel were also seen presenting cap and Indian flag to the children who greeted the bike rally while coming down from Thonglang Akutpa.
The bike rally also aimed to generate awareness and importance about the 75 th anniversary of India's Independence Day and inculcate a sense of pride among the locals during the Independence Day celebration this year.
