IGAR(S) greets on Independence Day

IGAR (South) major general Alok Naresh and all ranks of Assam Rifles extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the general officer exhorted all citizens to reminisce with gratitude and deep reverence the sacrifices of freedom fighters in pursuit of gaining freedom and founders of our nation in establishing a republic.
On this important national day, he called upon citizen from all walks of life to work together towards creating an inclusive society instilled with nationalism, compassion and forbearance that promotes peace and harmony in the state, said the PRO.
Alok Naresh also called upon the youth to rededicate themselves to the society with a firm resolve to eschew violence and intolerance in all forms and make our great republic, an abode filled with love, peace and tranquillity, the PRO conveyed and wished that the almighty showers blessings to all so that we may move forward with renewed energy and vigour to achieve the common goal of nation's progress.
