Sambit meets candidate aspirants

In connection with the upcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly Election next year, BJP's Manipur in-charge Dr Sambit Patra commenced a mandal-level core committee meeting from Friday.
According to a report, Dr Patra has been holding meetings with various mandal-level office bearers and potential candidates at Classic Grande, Chingmeirong since Thursday.
On Thursday, he met with office bearers of Thangmeiband Mandal, core committee and intending candidates; while on Friday, he met with mandal office bearers, core committee and intending candidates of Uripok, Keishamthong, Sagolband and Singjamei.
The meeting on Friday was also attended by BJP Manipur state general secretary (organisation) Abhay Giri, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president T Meena Devi and general secretary L Deben Singh.
During the meeting, Dr Sambit stressed the need for party's various organisations at the mandal level, namely Youth, Women and other Units to aggressively work to ensure victory of the party in the upcoming polls.
He also advised for extending relief assistance at the mandal-level to the people affected by the pandemic, including identifying vulnerable areas and listing the best ways to win the hearts of the people.
He then assured to advise the CM to address all shortcomings in this regard.
After the joint meeting with the mandal-level office bearers, core committee and intending candidates, Dr Sampit met with the intending, candidates one-by-one to ascertain the key areas by which the candidates could win for the party, apart from understanding their strategies as well.
