Stringent agitations will be launched from midnight of January 31 if the Government and its agencies fail to find clues and trace the whereabouts of Ningombam Premananda, a VDF personnel who is missing since January 21, warned people of Thoubal Okram.
N Premananda had gone to Phaisi, a border village in Chandel district on a poppy destruction drive on January 16 and he has been missing since January 21 .
A public meeting held at Thoubal Okram Ground today formed a Joint Action Committee in connection with the incident and it has strongly condemned the Government and its agencies concerned for failure to trace the missing personnel.
It has been 10 days since N Premananda was last seen at Phaisi village.
The Government has remained silent on the incident and has so far failed to trace his whereabouts, said the people at the meeting.
